Philanthropy

The Chi Omega founders thought it was important for sisters to devote time to causes greater than themselves. Since 2002, our national philanthropy has been the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. To date, Chi Omega has nationally raised $4.5 million and logged almost 300,000 volunteer hours!

In the past, our chapter has organized an annual golf tournament to raise money for this wonderful cause. This year we thought we'd try something a little different; In it's inaugural year, our Race-Love-Wish 5K raised nearly $11,000! We are so proud of this accomplishment and of the many participants from UCF Greek Life and the surrounding community. We look forward to next year and the years to come, as our event continues to grow and become a new campus tradition.

In addition to our efforts for Make-A-Wish, we love to participate in other chapters' philanthropic events! Not only are they a blast, but we help raise money for many great causes, while showing support for other Greeks at the same time. Some of our favorites include AEPhi's Bowlanthropy, KD Shakedown, Delt's Miss Greek and G.I. Theta Chi. Our sisters always go all out and have a great competitive spirit!
